ATELIER DES REFUSÉS

Atelier des Refusés (Italy)

Circular Thinking for Decorative Pillows

Atelier des Refusés is a very young brand that was founded on the principles of circular economy and is fully dedicated to decorative cushions created by the architect Carolina Nisivoccia from Milan. Atelier des Refusés (the name referring to the renowned Parisian art Salon that launched famous artists such as Manet, Monet and Pissarro in 1863) is the name given to a group of designers whose purpose is to reduce waste fabrics. The group speaks of itself through a vertical installation as unusual as it is compelling, where cushions of different sizes, shapes, colors, and textures are the protagonists, with an explosion of colors and softness, enveloping the visitor and restoring the idea of embrace, comfort, and “union,”. These are all keywords of the brand, as well as no-waste and protection of biodiversity.
