Making Furniture for People
Sits, renowned furniture company from Poland, presents Making Furniture for People, a green project committed to cutting CO2 emissions, choosing fsc certificate wood, investing in high energy efficiency devices and producing energy from renewable sources, without overlooking aesthetics, comfort, convenience. 2022 collection is made of two compositions. The first set features Edda made of Bloom 2 teddy brown, footstool and a 4-seater sofa made of Poodle 1 cream, the composition is complemented by an Uma armchair in Wildflower 8 dusty pink fabric and a white space table. The second presents the Britt model in the Linnen l007 2 flax fabric, tables from the Tetris collection and two Uma armchairs, one of them in the Wildflower 5 warm yellow fabric, and the other in the Poodle 3 beige fabric.
The following are the designers: Böttcher&Kayser is a Berlin-based studio working in the fields of consumer product, furniture, lighting and interior design; Steven Schilte, who has built a successful career over the years as a product designer working for such renowned companies as Jan des Bouvrie. His furniture designs have won several awards, for instance at the Salon du Meuble in Paris. Finally, Anna Näsström is more or less born on the upholstery factory floor, as she is the daughter in the family that started Sits almost 30 years ago. With a strong passion for Scandinavian design and a soft spot for deep and soft sofas that really embraces you, her first sofa Lill is now released.
