Tales of the Adriatic
Slovenian architect and designer Tina Rugelj presents “Tales of the Adriatic”, an all-new collection of furniture that captures the beauty of the Mediterranean and the central patterns of life on the Adriatic. Tales of the Adriatic was born out of the desire to remember, to take care of all the spontaneous richness of this area, emphasizing the values of Mediterranean cultures, preserving local production and materials, and at the same time, warning about the problem of overexploitation of the sea through the practices of overfishing and maritime pollution. It is made up of five pieces that tell the story of how natural white stone from the island of Bra?, distorted and twisted olive wood, and recycled fishing nets came together to create the Fisherman's Lamp, the Sea and Stone table, the Adrian chaise longue, and finally the Plankton rug.
